Dr. Jones has performed throughout the US within marching and concert ensembles. His marching experience includes all battery instruments. This includes working as a summer drum instructor for more than a decade throughout the US, Drumline instructor for Louisiana State University and Stephen F. Austin, and a member of the percussion staff for the Louisiana Stars Drum and Bugle Corps. His concert percussion experience includes performing with professional symphonies such as the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra and the Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra. As a chamber musician, Dr. Jones has attended and performed at the University of North Texas Keyboard Symposium and the Chosen Vale Center for Advanced Musical Studies in Hanover, New Hampshire. His teaching experience includes all ages in classrooms rooms, concert halls, football fields, and in non-profit organizations. Dr. Jones has worked with grade school programs as a consultant and clinician for marching, concert, and percussion ensembles. His experience with beginners includes working with elementary programs with the non-profit Kids Orchestra of Baton Rouge. He provided individual, group, and remote lessons for students in K-5 grade. He hosted local percussion ensemble concerts, community drum circles, and social outreach performance opportunities with Kids Orchestra. His collegiate teaching experiences include working as a graduate teaching assistant with the Lumberjack Marching Band, Jacks of Steel, and the percussion ensemble at Stephen F. Austin State University. While attending Louisiana State University, Dr. Jones worked as the Drumline Coordinator for the Golden Band from Tigerland, director for Hamiruge: The LSU Percussion Group, and a teaching assistant in the Percussion studio.
